My wireless printing on HP Officejet 7410 worked fine under Windows 10 environment until my phone company changed my Cisco E420 wireless router to an Intel SmartRG-380G modem-wireless router for a faster DSL speed. In the process of trying to connect my HP dv7 laptop computer to HP OJ7410 printer wirelessly, I tried to uninstall HP Photosmart software and reinstall it. Now, the reinstallation process cuts off prematually and the printer does not recognize my laptop and my other computers at home even after I connected the printer to my wireless network using the printer's setup panel.
I am wondering whether there is a method of reinstalling the all-in-one Photosmart driver and software for OJ7410. I have tried "HP Printer and Scanner Doctor" many times. It recognized the wireless printer with the IP address correctly, but it cannot connect the printer and computer wirelessly. To connect I have been through many power cycles with both the router and the printer. Still, HP Printer and Scanner Doctor cannot get them working together wirelessly. The laptop can print if I use USB cable.
Any suggestions? My feeling is that the system might work if I could complete reinstallation of the software properly.

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are trying to connect the HP Officejet 7410 printer to a wireless connection. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
Restart the computer, printer, and router.
Check the network and printer connection status.
Manually connect the printer to your network.
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
Temporarily disable firewall software on the computer.
Uninstall the HP driver and software.
-
If your printer connects to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the cable from the printer.
-
Search Windows for programs and features, then click Programs and Features in the list of results.
-
In the list of installed programs, click your HP printer name, then click Uninstall or Yes.
-
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software removal.
-
Restart the computer.
Reinstall the HP software.
-
Turn on the printer.
-
If your printer is connected to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the cable from the printer.
-
If prompted, select a method to identify your printer model, and then follow the on-screen instructions to go to the download page.
Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.
Let me know if that helps.
Cheers.

It did not work. I am resetting Windows 10 at the moment. I will see whether that will let me reinstall the Photosmart All-in-One Software and Driver. It appears that other people are also having trouble with the latest build of Windows 10 such as missing login password window. That happened to me as well during my search for wireless printing solution. Therefore, I did not have much choice but reinstalling Windows 10. That is what I am doing at the moment.
Thank you for trying to help me. I will let you know whether the reinstalling of Windows 10 resolved my wireless printing issue. It is a long and messy process, but I do not seem to have any other choice.

After Reset of Windows 10 Pro, HP Photosmart program and driver for Officejet 7410 installed without any issues and the printer prints and scans wirelessly in our home wireless network with Intel SmartRG-380d wireless router.
The problem now is that I have to reinstall all my apps and resort all my restored data files. Not too may people are willing to go through all these just to print wirelessly. I did not have much of a choice since I completely messed up my Windows 10 system in the process of solving the printing issue. Even my Windows 10 login window did not show up in Windows start up procedure. So, be careful in printer trouble shooting if you want to avoid Windows 10 reinstallation.
