I have the same issue and am encouraged by the fact the user was able to finally install the drivers.

Could you please give me the instructions to "talk" to a real HP support person.

Is the printer and Mac connected to your home WiFi?

Have you tried resetting the printer network settings and re-connecting the printer back to your home WiFi?
