Hi, my HP LaserJet Pro CP1025 printer stopped working with alarm Rear Door Open. Lid is closed firmely, optical sensor is on place and not damaged. I also measured pulses from that optocoupler with the Scope and could see signal surges from 0V to 3V when the rear lid pin goes into the sensor.
Could you please help with that issue.
Is there way to by-pass or disable Rear Door sensor phisically or with SW.
Thank you very much.
Have a good day.

I have reviewed the post. Thanks for the quick reply. Brilliant effort, great technical expertise and immaculate patience displayed to try and fix the issue. Kudos to you for a job well done. :)This is a hardware issue with the printer. There is no such software that can diagnose or correct the situation with the printer.
You might need to contact HP phone support in this regard to get the printer replaced. I honestly hope things work great for you.

Superb analysis and brilliant diagnosis of the issue before posting. 🙂 Kudos to you on that score. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:
- Did this happen after a power outage or surge?
- Was there a paper jam anytime in the recent past before this happened?
It looks like a hardware issue with the printer and it may need to be replaced. For now please perform these steps:
- Please perform all the relevant steps from this link: http://hp.care/2B6La5f to clear paper jam issues.
- Also try to the other steps other than the ones performed from the first link: http://hp.care/2B7IAMv to fix out of paper issues.
- Then check if the issue gets resolved.
- If the issue continues then contact HP phone support to get the printer replaced or upgraded as its hardware is faulty.
HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://hp.care/2r9wSvP

Hi, David!
Thanks for for advice, I went through the steps from the link and unfortunately it did not help.
Printer was also carefully disassembled to check visually that there is no any damage or paper jam. All seems ok.
When Power button pressed, cartridge leds blink one by one for few seconds and then only warning light reamains blinking. During that period printer does not make any noise, like usually when it is initialaizing- carusel and trolley move and all that. I wonder if that can be because of paper jam or door open..no initialaizing..? May be there is any testing HP SW i could use?
Have a good day!
Thank you.
