Error"rear door open" just open the rear door and do nothing with rear door just use extra light or torch to see where the right (white part on the door goes). There is a tiny wire and small black hanging part, just push that part with a small screw driver.... Try it couple of times it works

I cannot find a wire where is it picture?

I understand your description and the involved parts but even with an additional strong light I can not see any wire.

And I have 3 dead printers standing here .... that died before 10.000 pages were printed with the same error within weeks.

Unbelieveable that I can not find a solution over the whole internet.

I have bought a spare part donator - a dead M276n with a different problem but I need to know which parts have to be exchanged cause the repair manual does not list such part, no sensor no micro switch.

UPDATE: there is an hp pdf called troubleshooting manual which mentions the sensor as SR607 but nothing further like spare part number or so. You can find the document by searching for  "SR607 REAR DOOR OPEN DETECTION"

The conclusion of the facts that we do not get a support must be that there is a much stronger, deeper repair necessary like a mainboard replacement otherwise we would easily find a description for such problem of a product beeing 5 years in the market.

Unfortunatelly no one of the support team offers real support like showing the parts in photographies and explaining what it needs to get it fixed so it must be most likely a complex and serious problem HP does not want to be fixed by customers, even bigger customers with more units on the desks.

THERE IS SIMPLY NO WIRE YOU CAN SEE AFTER OPENING THE REAR DOOR.

I HAVE CHECKED IT COMPARING THE WORKING MODEL WITH THE NOT WORKING.

The most interesting question for all customers:

Why in the hell can HP sell a product where the nearly never used micro switch can dy after such a low usage?

How often do you open the rear door if you had just printed 3000 pages?

Micro switch is dying after 5 times of usage?

Hello HP how does your quality security work, your purchase department?

Why does HP do not sell that microswitch?

Thank you so much for your suggestion!! It worked on the first go. I got another reply that a person flipped the device and the door closed. While my device was lying flipped nothing worked and I was hell worried, searched more and got your answer and did exactly the same but using my hands and not the screw driver and voila!! Thanks a bunch for saving our time and money!
