I'm getting red streaks down one side of the paper with my M452dw laserjet printer. I was also getting black streaks down the other side but running a cleaning page got rid of that. I had this happen on the red cartridge before this as well. In that case, the printer cartridge had an obvious rupture. Not seeing that this time, but both times now, it's happened when the cartridge gets to 40%. I put in a brand new cartridge and printing was just fine. Does anyone know if the red cartridges for this printer are flawed? I really hate having to switch out after only 60% usage.

Most of the time it means that the magenta cartridge needed to be replaced.

But before you do that maybe it's waste toner bin is full if so dump all them out and see if it helps.

You need a piece of business card and insert it into the cartridge's waste bin and move the card from this end to that end a few times to dump waste toner out.

Don't forget to prepare a garbage can to receive the toner.

Do it onto all four color cartridges.
