HP LJ4015TN
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (64-bit)

I am an IT consultant and have a client who will be closing down their business sometime in the 3-6 months.

They have informed me that are getting Maintenance Kit replacement messages, and the HP LJ4015 does indeed show 200,000 page count when I look remotely.

I think I surpressed the messages in the Web settings.

At my IT consulting rates + parts, it probably is not worth the cost of doing the Maintenance Kit route, and making a few calls to people who might service it onsite in Downtown SF was not encouraging.

* What will be the symptoms of continuing to use the printer after the scheduled message has been ignored?

Can they just ride it down until it stops printing , or they close business, whichever comes first?

Thanks

Just ride it out. The 225K level I think for this printer is really just a guide. If they are not getting jams and the print quality is good just let it go. Considering the printer is probably at least 5 years old it means they are only printing aoubt 40k per year or maybe 3K a month. Not a lot of wear and tear.

Thanks, David.
That was my instinct, but you much more elegantly laid out the facts.
