Hello,

 

I own an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476dn.
I need to update the printer’s firmware manually (using USB), but on the HP Support website I can only find the drivers — the firmware download seems to have been removed.

Is there any official page where I can download the latest firmware  for this model? If not, could you please provide me with a direct download link?

Also, could it be possible to have older firmware versions?

Thank you for reaching out. Regarding the need to update the printer’s firmware manually (using USB), but on the HP Support website it’s not available for HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476dn you’re experiencing.

 

Kindly review the instructions as below :

  • - To provide more relevant support , could you please advise on the specific reasons to update the firmware
  • - any concerns that you are facing with the device we could assist you with .
  • - Was win 11 the original operating system or has been upgraded as there are other versions of windows with which firmware updates are available.
  • - Were there any changes made to the hardware or software , windows updates or drivers updates
  • - We at HP do not encourage hardware upgrades unless advised in any form of hp documentation
  • - Find all relevant guides and drivers from the support page here on best effort basis with the limited details that we have about the device - https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-color-laserjet-pro-mfp-m476-series/model/5245590


This will help us narrow down the cause and suggest the best fix
