I have forgotten my password for my printer and can't connect to a new wifi after I moved. How do I reset the printer to reconnect to my current network?

Hi @Lasse03,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that  you have forgotten your password and need to reconnect your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M274n printer to a new Wi-Fi network, follow these steps to reset and configure your printer.

Connect to a Wireless Network:

  • Make sure your printer is powered on.
  • Reconnect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network by selecting the correct network from the list of available networks displayed on the control panel.
  • You will need your new network's password to connect. Enter the password when prompted.

Download and Install Printer Software:

Configure the Connection:

After the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network, check the printed Network Configuration Page to ensure the connection is successful and note down any IP address if needed.

Restore Network Defaults:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Setup menu (the icon looks like a gear).
  • Use the arrow buttons to find Network Setup, then press OK.
  • Scroll to Restore Network Defaults, and press OK.

Take care and have an amazing day!
