Need to know how to re set the printer.  It was unplugged for a while.  Upon plugging it in it shows an error message.  I cannot get the menu to come up to do a reset.  Is there an internal battery perhaps?  I have tried deleting the driver and re installing but it did not help.  I cannot even use it as a copier. Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

But may not have the information you need. Often the service manual is what you need and I cannot share that as it is restricted to trained technicians and HP internal employees. If you look around the internet you might find someone who has posted it.
