LaserJet M527 or M577
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've set up the Scan to Network Folder option on many of these printers and it worked flawlessly until Microsoft put out the 1703 Creator's update.  Now, it fails on the authentication in the Quick Set Wizard.  I was wondering if anyone else has discovered this problem and a solution for it.

thanks.

Found it...kind of.

Sadly, there really isn't a fix until HP upgrades the printer's firmware.

From HP's website:

Printing device dependencies on SMB version 1
Some printer features require the SMB protocol to function. These include:

 Send to Network Folder
 Send to SharePoint.
 Print servers may require the SMB protocol to share printer queues on the network

Starting with 1703 edition, Microsoft is disabling the SMB version 1 protocol.  In the new edition scheduled to come out this fall, they're removing it entirely.

This effectively leaves us between a rock and a hard place until HP fixes the printers.
