I want all the employees in the company to be able to go to the printer and scan directly into the "Scan" directory on our network. I created a quick set but I cannot figure out how to set it as the default setting. When accessing the Scan menu on the control panel, the quick set must always be selected again and again, otherwise the printer prompts the user to enter his network credentials.

Are they all scanning to the same directory or personal folder based on login credentials? If you go to the customize control panel app, go to the quick sets  folder, right click the quickset you made and move it out of the folder you can have that quick set on the homepage.

We all scan to the same folder.

In the old interface, we just pressed "Scan" (or whatever the name or icon was on the button to scan) and the file was saved directly in this folder. We didn't have to select a quick set every time we scanned a document. It was set as default, I guess.

But I just had the hard drive to the printer changed. The original one fried within 8 months of use, just lol. So by replacing the hard drive, the interface changed. It's the new one, I'm told. With big buttons, not scrolling menus like before. I have to do at least 7 steps every time I want to scan a document: press "Scan", then "Scan to Network Folder", then add a file name if I want, then choose "Load" under "Quick Sets and Defaults", then choose the quickset from the right side of the screen, press the "Load" button but on the right of the screen, then "Send".

And the quickset seems to get lost between each document I want to scan, which I have to choose again otherwise it  prompts me to enter a user name, domain, and password. It wasn't this intricate when our printer had the old interface.

Is this how complex it's supposed to be under the new and improved interface? Am I doing something wrong? I can send you screenshots of what I see on the control panel.
