LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw

When I scan to email, and the printer starts to feed the needed scanned sheets it will click over and over, sometimes causing a jam and the paper just sits there while its clicking. Sometimes I have to help to paper feed through the tray to help it o smoothly. Is there an adjustment on a cog that can be made to prevent this clicking and proper feed?

sounds like the ADF is obstructed (maybe a torn piece of paper) or defective, there is no adjustment that can be made to any gear that will stop the noise.

Ok, what exactly is the ADF?
