Hello I recently purchased a LaserjetPro MFP M26nw, I have it connected over wifi. It prints well however, I can not get it to scan. My question is: is it possible to scan without a computer; i am using my cell/tablet (android). I have also downloaded HP apps which all work fine exept scannining.

Hi @columbus3
Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips
I understand that you are unable to Scan and you would like to Scan from your Android Phone/Tablet.
I'd like to help.
Are you able to make a Copy directly from the Printer?
Please do a Printer Reset.
(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
If you wish to scan using your Android device you need to Scan to your Email or to your Cloud Account.
Try these steps.
-
Place your document or photo on the scanner glass according to the guides on the printer, or in the automatic document feeder, if your printer has one.
-
Open the HP Smart app, and then tap Scan, Scan to Email, or Scan to Cloud, depending on the type of scan you want to complete.
-
Tap the Settings icon on
the scan screen to select the Input Source for the scan, if you need to choose between the document feeder or scanner glass.
-
Tap Done or Save.
-
Tap Scan to view the scan and adjust the borders, if necessary.
-
If you want to scan additional pages, tap the additional pages icon.
