Scanning with document feeder - line down the page

When scanning using the document feeder, I get a vertical line down the centre of the page that is printed.

There might actually be a speck of "something" that is causing the line -- shine a flashlight at an angle along the very edge of where the glass meets the ADF output -- clean the area with a lint free cloth and perhaps use a tiny brush to manage any crevices.

suggestion worked, the mark on the glass was tiny.

When scanning using the ADF the scanner only uses the small piece of glass underneath the document feeder and not the complete glass.Make sure the small slit glass is clean and sometimes there might be a scratch in the glass that causes the line.Hope this will help.
