I happen to purchase a brand new in the box older printer. But the cyan setup ink is missing so it’s pretty much bricked until I can get a replacement. How do I get that so I can use this printer

Hi  @Whatley92,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Kindly confirm the exact printer model name ?

I completely understand how  it must feel to have a brand-new printer but be unable to use it because the cyan setup cartridge is missing. The good news is that you’re not stuck  HP provides guidance on how to resolve this exact situation so you can get your printer up and running smoothly.

You can find the official support document here for SETUP Cartridges Missing - Click here .

I hope this helps.

Hi @Whatley92,

For the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One setup, you’ll need to have all four cartridges installed. If even one is missing, the setup process cannot proceed.

If you’re missing a cartridge, the best option is to reach out to your point of purchase to request the missing one. If that’s not possible, you’ll need to purchase a new set of cartridges before continuing. Once you have all four, you can follow the override steps that will be shared with you in the private message to complete the setup.
