LaserJet Pro M12w
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

My printer is making me feel very dumb right now!

I'm following all instructions on HP website and in manuals BUT hit a wall when I get asked to hold the network and information buttons at the same time to get the claim code - this printer doens't have an info button - just power/wifi/and an X.

I've downloaded the driver and I get nowhere,

The network light on the printer doesn't turn solid blue - and the instructions tell me that to get it to go blue I have to insert the CD the printer came with ---  my computer doesn't have a CD drive!

Using Mac Yosemite as my OS.

PLEASE HELP

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are unable to setup wireless connection on HP LaserJet Pro M12w printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

Perform a power reset.

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Click here and refer the document to setup wireless connection on the printer.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
