I am installing my new printer. I cannot remove the toner cartridge not sure what to do about the clips in the way of allowing it to be pulled up the channel.

I am a retired printer tech and know better than to force it or change anything before researching it. There are two plastic pieces that run from the front of the printer and sit against the toner cartridge. I am certain if these were removed, it would just pull out but I cannot find any documentation or video on where to go from here

Thanks!

I don't recall any plastic pieces being in the way of the cartridge in that printer. If they are orange or a color other than black or grey, they are probably shipping restraints/materials that need to be removed for operation anyhow. If not, then try pushing them down out of the way, but they shouldn't be blocking the cartridge from removal.

I found the solution after calling HP

I was reluctant to power on the printer until I knew I had all the packing material removed. Usually the toner cartridge was sealed and had to have a plastic strip removed. That was not the case on this model. I was instructed to power up and go thru initialazation. Once I did that, the tabs were rotated out of the way and the toner cartridge could be removed....but it had no mylar strip to remove.

At that point, the printer was ready for use.

Thank you for your reply
