Smudges in Right Margin

All of my printed pages have smudges in the right margin. I've read some other posts. The strange thing is I have two of these printers and both of them just started doing this. It seems unlikely that two printers would come down with the same problem at the same time, and this doesn't sound like a software problem.

Thanks Antony. That would make sense if both my printers hadn’t developed the identical problem and at the same time. That seems like too much of a coincidence. But, it also seems unlikely this problem resides outside the printers.

Hai provato a cambiare il toner? Il tamburo si trova di solito incorporato al toner... per sbavature cosa intendi ?

Looking forward to seeing if you get any real help.

-- Printing from my computer, the left hand margin is streaked and missing 1/4" text.

-- Copying from a hard copy, 1/4" of the right margin is streaked.

Sounds like an ink jet is jammed, but I can't get any help for that. I've printed fewer that 30 pages since I bought this printer.
