My printer has been randomly printing pages with emoji/*aCookie: mstshash=Administr on printouts. I have searched and found the following solution;
"Please clear the web browser Cache and Cookies. You may use the steps available in the links below to clear the web browser cache and cookies:
Once you clear the cache and cookies, restart router, printer and Mac. Check if the printer is printing unexpected characters and text."
This solution did not work. If solution doesn't work it stated to do the following;
"This might require remote access of the computer to fix the issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you."
I followed the above, but was only allowed to post a question here, as such.
Any help appreciated.

Hi,
Download and install the latest firmware below, a smiley should indicate its success:
Once completing the update, print a report from the Utility and make sure the listed Firmware Date Code in the report is listed as 20190401, then check for any difference.
Please let me know if that may help,
Shlomi
