I'm trying to connect with east2100 or anyone who can help me locate my tray ! and 2 solenoids

I have a wonderful old HP printer,   HP MFP CM2320nf.  I can't get the paper to come out anymore, only once in a while, but not it only  prints i n B&W.  I believe after thorough research it is a sticky solenoid issue. The problem is I cannot locate the solenoid --I don't wan to cut any parts like east2100 had recommended. I want to find it in the CM 2320 MFP.  HP does not want to help with an outdated printer.

I would need very detailed instructions (pics best) how to find this solenoid and I will place a v shaped piece of paper to prevent the sticking.

Help please

Hi @Amyartist75,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your HP MFP CM2320nf printer is experiencing issues with paper feeding or only prints in black and white due to a suspected sticky solenoid, I would request you to please follow the steps:

Accessing the Solenoids

Power off and unplug the printer.

Remove the right side cover (the solenoids are mounted behind it, near the feed roller assemblies).

You’ll see small rectangular solenoids with a sticky foam pad on the lever.

Reassemble and Test

Reattach the side cover.

Reload paper and run a test print.

If the solenoids release properly, the feed should be smooth again.

Thank you so very much for your advice.

i have been told that the paper tray 1 and 2 solenoid is buried deep inside hp CM 2320nf  MFP and it would require hours to remove parts including wires to reach it,

here is what another person on the forum told me as well. I have the device service manual but don’t know which parts to remove, I will start with the side panel.

That is not going to be an easy job, CM2320 is very, very complicated to disassemble to reach the solenoid.

First you need to remove the pickup assembly from the printer, then disassemble it to reach the solenoid.
