How can I prevent the HP LaserJet from printing a test page with every job? I seek a long-term cure and do not want to open the printer queue for every job. (Anyway, the printing starts before I can open the printer queue.)
For all Iknow, Microsoft Word 360 is causing this problem because I also get thesame thing, unwanted test pages with every job, on my Lexmark laser printer.
There is a forum note about resetting the alignment, but no one explains how to do that after I hit Scan. I doubt that my problem concerns alignment.

Why couldn't anyone answer this question? I had to find the answer myself, and it has nothing to do with alignment. You merely have to uncheck the box for "print document properties" in Microsoft Word, which is what I was using. In Word go to Options . . . Display to find this box. The mystery remains, however, about how this box got checke on my system; I have no knowledge of trying to implement this feature. Some software upate must have activate this feature, showing that upates can hurt more than help.
