CP2025dn color laserjet
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Unusual behavior began all of a sudden yesterday. When I attempt to print multiple color copies of the same document, 2 or 3 print normally. Then the printer starts making a sound as if it's trying to pick up the paper. After 4 or 5 cycles it stops but then subsequent copies come out in a very poor quality black and white. It seems to work fine when I only print 2 or sometimes 3 copies but any more than that causes it to do the same thing. I first tried a reset to factory defaults but it didn't help. I then did a restore on my Windows 10 PC in case he driver was corrupted. That didn't help either. Would appreciate and insight (and possible solutions) from anyone who might have experienced this behavior.

Make sure your pickup roller is in good condition. Might simply be a misfeed issue.

I have to believe the roller is OK.  I have always used a second install of the same printer that is only set for black and white since this is the bulk of my printing. I printed multiple copies of a document yesterday using my "B/W printer" with no problems. Printed several color documents since my post and as long as I don't try to print more than 3 copies they come out fine. I'm wondering if there's a driver or firmware update since the last windows update.

Driver enhancements happen all the time, I do not think that there has been a firmware update for this product in quite a while as it is approaching EOSL.
