When I print a document from my computer, my printer says "printing document" and makes no sounds or does anything else. I only have the option to cancel. Also, sometimes if I try to do something on the printer, I get the error something like 49 service error, turn off and on printer. I received this printer in almost new condition used.

The first step to solve a 49 error is to ensure that the firmware on your printer is up to date. Go to support.hp.com search for your printer and you will find instructions on updating firmware as well as the current firmware.

Thanks, but when I try to update the printer firmware it doesn't do anything at all to the printer. It doesn't do anything when I update it from the printer itself or from the tool.
