LaserJet Pro M148fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello All,

I have a customer who is from Germany and speaks very little English. They live in a remote area in a summer cottage in Nova Scotia, Canada. They have a Turbohub through a remote DSL connection so limited bandwidth.

I have switched his laptop to English and reset his new LaserJet Pro M148 series so that is is now in English as well. I have done this all on my own office network and everything works perfectly. (One of the easiest printers I have ever had to setup)

My question is this: How can I move the laptop and printer back to their location and connect it to THEIR router and once done, how can I change the language back to German on the printer (I can do this on the laptop) without having to reinstall everything on their network? Can this be done?

Thanks in advance.

If you could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

You can reset the Printer to connect to the new Wi-Fi and change

On the printer control panel, press the button.

Open the following menus: ● Service ● Restore Defaults. Touch or press the OK button. The printer automatically restarts.

You can change the language using the HP Printer software on the Computer. When you install the drivers, you would get an option to change the language.

Let me know if this helps.
