The automatic document feeder is empty but doesn't work. Message document feeder jam

My HP Laserjet Pro MFP M127 has an error message that I have a jam in my document feeder. I opened it and do NOT have a jam, but it won't work. I still have an error message.

What do I do?

I see that the printer is in an error state and I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If you have already performed the steps from the document 'Original Jam: Clear jam, and then press OK' Displays and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
