I have a HP 1022 that alternates printing a blank page after every printed page. The printed pages are in order and if i pull out the blanks the document looks correct. I have tried replacing the pick up roller and the seperator pad but neither helped. I thought it might be a software issue, but I have a second HP 1022 and it is working fine.

At this point I am out of ideas.

Hi @Stumble1,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the printer is printing a blank page after every printed page.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the printer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  1. Right-click the Phaser printer and go to Printing Preferences
  2. Then select the down arrow next to Paper and then Separators
  3. The dropdown in the pop-up set it to No Separators

If the issue persists, follow the steps in the below article and check if it helps.

-The printer was last working a few months ago.

-The only software changes have been regular updates to the OS. I am currently using MacOS High Sierra 10.13.2

-I have tried replacing the pick up roller and the seperator pad. Plus deleting the printer and adding it back. I looked for updated MacOS drivers but didn't see any.

I am not sure how or where to right click on the "phasor printer." If I go to 'System Preferences' and click on the printer the only option is to clean the printer head.

If i follow the link provided I do not see a place to download the firmware, nor is my operating system listed.

So I reset the printer system, and the same problem reoccurs.

I should not that i have an identicle hp 1022 and it is working fine. Leading me to believe that it may be an issue with either the firmware or hardware of the malfunctioning printer.
