Hi community,

I'm having problems printing quality for some time, with increasing speed, and then I checked the status of the components these days ... I found a lot of dust out of the toner purchased new but not original (not regenerated said by the seller).

the black toner has 88% charge
the blue toner has a charge of 61%
magenta toner has a charge of 59%
the yellow toner has 60% charge

some rollers / drum are clearly scratched on the sides

(the photos represent the state after I cleaned them externally a little but not completely, to show the dust out)

I also found black powder and magenta scattered in the front and especially back doors, as seen in the photos (a lot on the transfer belt)

questions:
1) Is this normal? or these toners have problems?
2) may these have ruined / compromised some internal parts of my laserjet?

the seller tell me that is normal or the causes are atmospheric conditions
(the LaserJet always is in an apartment/office room with constant temperature and air)

can you help me to understand how to solve and to determine the real causes about?

The transfer belts are self cleaning so if you change out the cartridges it should take care of itself. There may be residual toner dust on the pages that you first print after changing the cartridges, if that's the case it should go away with the more pages you run. But changing the cartridges should take care of it and like I said, the ITB is self cleaning so it should be fine.

That's not normal, they look like cheaply built reman cartridges. Judging by your pictures the Magenta cartridge is leaving the most shading, I'd start with replacing that first.

Thanks 315service for your kind answer,

I think so too, these toners these toners have problems, but the seller told me that they were new,

in fact I have this printer from more than 10 years and I have always used original HP without any problems until 2015, than I bought a black toner from another company (compatible and I had no problems but I paid almost like an original)

then that in 2017 I bought a complete set 2 black + colors at 1/3 of the original price

I had no problems for some months (the use of the printer is moderated less than 1000 pages per year), then I noticed some red stains .. but I thought of a temporary malfunction of the printer .. but the situation has worsened and I looked at the toners .. I found them streaked, ruined and a lot of pigment dust spread in the inside of the printer, as I have already described

anyway the seller asked me to send them back the toners, I asked him to give us others new... but...

please can you (or someone) give me an answer to the second question?

namely

2) may these have ruined / compromised some internal parts of my laserjet C1312nfi?

I have seen cartridges cause damage to the ITB but it’s been few and far between. I imagine that if you change the cartridges it’ll be just fine.

in fact you could see from the photos, how ITB is dirty with magenta dust?

it's almost colored, does this mean I have to clean it?

or changing toner with others, can I leave ITB like that?

my fear is that it does not look so colorful / dirty with dust

and if I change the tonerS making it refurbished by the seller,

maybe then other problems come out and I can not complain or retaliate for problems ...

you who are an expert of HP what you advise me to do?
