in response to the question "How would you break something that is sticking into tray 2 when changing a toner cartridge? " how is that a helpful response to fixing the situation. The fact is that the sensor was broken and it happened directly after replacing the toner cartridge. Whether or not it was the actual replacement of the toner cartridtge or due to some other failure should not prevent shedding light on how to get it fixed.
Does someone at HP have a suggested fix or is the equipment considered cheap and disposable as opposed to repairing?

I will try and give some ideas. If you have all the broken pieces maybe rebuilding the sensor can solve the problem.I had to do this a few times and found it to be the easiest way of getting the printer to work again.Even with the part no; sometimes it is not possible to get the part from the suppliers.Rebuilt the flag and try to solve the problem.
It is so nice to give some help where possible and the forum is a great idea Thank You.Sometimes a picture speaks louder than words to find a solution.Should you find my help use full just give some credit for my effort please.
.Thank You.Copier-Pro

Have the same issue, looking for proper procedure to remove and replace. I found a repair manual but does not include this procedure. I'd like to as if someone would be nice enough to please send me the manual being mentioned that is not readily available to public?
