Hello! I've had a LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw printer connected to my same network for months now.  All of a sudden, yesterday, it shut itself down.  (It would appear the shutdown was related to HP's over-the-air firmware update.) When I restarted it, it prompted me to completely set up my network connection again, but wouldn't connect.  (Mind you, we have at least nine other devices connected to our network, via ethernet and WiFi, and they don't appear to be having a problem.) On multiple occasions, we have tried the following: restoring it to factory settings, powering it down and restarting it, and completely unplugging it for a minute or so and then plugging it back in and powering it up, etc.  None of these things are helping to get it to reconnect to our network.  Is there anyone who might be able to help get us up and running again? Thanks, in advance, for any assistance you can provide!

@KDdough1, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that you are unable to connect the printer to the network, follow the steps below-

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Restart your devices

To prepare your printer for a wireless connection, restart the printer, computer, and router.

  1. Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.

  2. Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.

  3. Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.

  4. Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.

  5. Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 10 seconds.

  6. Reconnect the power cord to the router.

    NOTE:

Wait until internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.

  7. Turn on the computer.

And follow the additional steps from the document Troubleshoot a Wi-Fi Printer Connection.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
