LaserJet P3015

Hi,

 

I replaced the toner cartridge on a LaserJet P3015 with a brand new one and got the warning "USED SUPPLY IN USE" displayed on the printer.

 

The CE255A cartridge was taken from a sealed HP box with a Security Label with a QR code that validates OK.

The supply  status page says to visit http://www.hp.com/go/anticounterfeit but that does not really help, it only says how to validate the supply from the label serial number which I have done and it reports it as genuine.

 

What are we supposed to do next? Is the printer faulty, the catridge faulty or are HP saying the supplier has a provided a fake? Or something else? How can we tell?

 

Any suggestions?

My personal recommendation is that if you have another toner that you can put and test, please do it.

If the issue dissapear, please contact the reseller where you bought the toner and ask for a replacement since the one you got is DOA.

If the issue persist, please contac hp support at 800-334-51-44

Replaced a toner in an HP P3015 and get the same message as above...."USED SUPPLY IN USE" displayed on the printer Also get the message 'economode disabled'.

 

The toner was in  an official sealed HP box.

 

Took this toner to another HP P3015 and this printer recognizes the toner as new.

 

Re-installed the new toner back into the original HP P3015 and get the message again "USED SUPPLY IN USE" displayed on the printer.

 

Flashed the firmware up to current in both printers with no change.

 

Any thoughts on this one?

I'm getting this error too - I bought this directly from Staples *and* the QR code scans just fine - what's the solution - I want economode on and to get rid of this error on the printer please!
