Hi,
I recently purchased an HP Laser MFP 137fnw model. I set the IP address, and the connectivity with the pc is working fine. However when i try to access WPS page, it asks for the admin username and password. I tried default username  and password mentioned in the network configuration report and printer, But none of them is working . Please provide me a solution

@JIshnuJ1, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The default credentials for accessing the Embedded Web Server (EWS) on HP printers are typically "admin" for the username and a specific password, which is often provided in the network configuration report or on a sticker inside the printer.

If these default credentials are not working, you can try the following steps:

Power Cycle the Printer: Restart the printer to ensure that there are no temporary issues causing the problem.

Reset the Printer's Default Password: Follow these steps to reset:

  • Print a Network Configuration Report from the printer. This is usually done by navigating to the network settings on the printer's screen or holding down certain buttons as specified in the printer's manual.
  • Check this report for the WPS Security PIN or password details.

Factory Reset Setup:

  • Note that performing a factory reset will erase all custom settings, including network configuration and saved Wi-Fi settings. Refer to your printer manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Try Common Passwords:

  • Sometimes, the password might be printed on a label on the printer itself, or try common passwords such as "12345678" or "00000000".

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
