I don't know exactly where to send this but I just wanted to share an opinion. Spend some time in chat today with a very nice person asking about getting a refurb certified laser printer. My questions were concerning restock fee a free return label if it needed to be returned what constituted damage as in cosmetic damage etc. the answers were all fine my thing that surprised me was then when I asked about is there a restock fee on the warranty and she said no because the warranty isn't refundable. And I said you mean if I return a printer you don't automatically cancel the warranty on it that is attached to it. She said no but there's a team that gets together and decides whether or not they can waive the claim. I just think that's ridiculous. Whenever I've ordered anything from another vendor if I got a three or four year warranty plan on it and return the item then obviously I don't need the warranty anymore. Apparently HP doesn't see it that way.

Hi - Thank you. So it would seem I can order the refurb printer and after that, so long as in warranty period, I can buy a plan. Is that correct? I'd rather do that then hope the team takes pity on me ;=) I also asked the chat agent if there was a restock fee. She said yes, however, if there were issues, it would be waived. I explicitlty asked does that include Cosmetic damage? She said yes, 15% unless it was an HP issue. Can you verify? That is my concern with refurb, what do scratches and small cosmetic issues mean in real life?

I do not have a case ID. I am PRE-SALES.
