Where is HP LaserJet Pro MFP M521 Print Log?

We have a few networked workgroup printers, including the LasterJet Pro MFP MS21.

What I havent been able to find using the web interface is the print log/print queue.

I have been able to access this using windows event viewer, but that is time consuming and inefficient to remote to our server and view the event log.  

All the other network printers we have show the print queue/log on the web admin for easy visibility.

There is a fax activity log, why can't i find a print activity log?

Hi I would like to assist to the best of my ability to solve your problem.I hope the information i supply will be of help.

I had a look on the web interface but could not get any more results than yourself.I could find under home a event log but mine does not show any detail as yet.I think this will only be when errors occur.I will look out for this post and the solution.

Well, we just received this unfortunate and, to be honest, utterly shocking response from HP live chat support:

Printer activity log can be seen only in the high end printer's like enterprise printers, I see that your printer model is MFP M 521, this particular printer model will not sure the printer activity log on the embedded web server page.

This is pretty unacceptable.  A $700 workgroup printer that won't show a print log on its embedded web ui when $400 competitor printers like Ricoh show that information.

This will likely be the last HP Printer we buy.  Apparently a $700 printer with a $250 add-on HP care pack, isn't "High End" enough for HP's concerns.
