Laserjet 400 Pro m401

Hi,

I have an old but trusty laserjet printer that's getting to be a bit inconvenient because of the necessary wires. I want to convert it to wireless to give the ol' dog a new lease of life, and everything I've read online makes it sound dead easy. "Just buy yourself a Bluetooth Dongle" they say, "but make sure it's compatible...".

So I've searched and researched and the BT500 keeps coming up. I can't find a compatibility list for it and it seems like a LOT of HP owners can't use them. I can't find anywhere telling me which dongle I can use. I have a Windows PC and a HP Laserjet 400 Pro m401d printer.

Can anyone tell me which dongle to use?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

There is no option to install any BT USB dongle, M401 doesn't support those. You can buy a wireless print server and connect to the printer.

Cheers

That would explain a lot. Thank you! That's a massive help.

I'll look into the print servers instead then.
