LaserJet Pro M102w

Hello,

I had to reset the printer to factory settings via HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) accessed via tablet. After performing a factory reset, my printer has Wi-Fi Direct Setup disabled and I can't enable it again. Thus, I can't perform a new wireless installation as I don't have currently the means to connect to a printer via USB cable (no computer) and I don't see "HP-Setup-..." Wi-Fi after turning on the printer.

So it seems that the printer did not properly reset to factory settings, as Wi-Fi Direct Setup was enabled when I bought a printer.
Will resetting NVRAM help to properly reset the printer and will it enable Wi-Fi Direct Setup?

Can I get instruction on resetting NVRAM?

Hi,

Please also try restoring the network settings first.

Make sure there is no USB cable connected to the printer and that the printer is ready with a solid lit power light, press the cancel button to wake it up if it sleeps.

Press and hold the wireless button for about 20 seconds, as soon as the Attention Light starts blinking among the power light and the printer should restart, then you should see the HP-Setup network in your nearby list, then open HP Smart and follow the steps on screen to connect the printer.

You may find step by step instructions listed under 'Connect a printer that does not have a touchscreen control panel > Step 2: Connect the printer with the HP Smart app' below:

Yes resetting the NVRAM will set all settings to out of box status. However I cannot post the instructions in the open forums and I am unable to PM the instructions because you are a new user. I have escalated your post to moderators so that someone can hopefully send you the instructions. You can also check youtube because there are often videos that show the way to perform the NVRAM reset.
