My printer seems to be offline when I try to print via WiFi from my phone or laptop. Both windows and Mac are not able to see the printer, the message is “printer offline”. The printer and laptops/phone are all connected to the same WiFi network

However, if I email the document to the printer, it gets printed

What is the issue here? What should I look at?

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

I understand you need support and I'll be glad to help you out. However, for an accurate solution, I would need more details:

What's the make and model of your WiFi router?

Do you have any antivirus software installed on your Windows computer and Mac?

Do you have a guest network enabled on your WiFi router?

Approximately how far is the printer located from the WiFi router?

Could you check for WiFi interference and also perform a ping test using the Mac Network Utility and let me know the results. Use the printer IP address to perform a ping test.

What's the make and model of your WiFi router?

it's a standard no name router owned by my  ISP. I can connect to the web via this router with all the devices I use in the house. Moreover, the printer is conected to the internet via the same router, because I CAN print using the eprint facility. I cannot use the airprint

Do you have any antivirus software installed on your Windows computer and Mac?

yes

Do you have a guest network enabled on your WiFi router?

no

Approximately how far is the printer located from the WiFi router?

3 feet

i cannot access the printer's ip address

Thanks! The printer configuration page has the printer IP address. In order to print a configuration page:

1.) Press and hold the Resume button until the Ready light begins blinking.

2.) Release the Resume button.

One the configuration page look for IP address or IPv4 address. Once you locate the printer IP address, use the Mac Network Utility to perform a ping test.

The wireless light on the printer, is it steady or is it blinking?
