Printing does not work from Windows, Android or MacOS.

Wifi:

Printer is registered in HP app both on my phone (Android) and via Windows 11. A message says "Printer not connected.". Help dialogue within the app has not worked out. Same message occurs on Android. On MacOS, printer could not be fond by the app. Registering the printer in the app on Windows and Android only worked after multiple attempts, sometimes the printer is gone from the app again.

I can select the printer in Windows print dialogue and start the printing inquiry, but the printer does not print. Sometimes, though not always, the on/off button starts to blink on the printer, though it does not print. Test pages cannot be printed.

Similar problems with Android, Printer can be added in the app, but printing fails.

Wifi is a tp-Link Archer A-5. To avoid SSID-problems with the printer, I turned of the 5g-SSID of the router.

Cable:

Also tried connection via Cable to Windows 11 and to MacOS. On Windows, printer was briefly visible as "cable connected printer", though it couldn't print. On MacOS, printer was not visible.

One time, the printer actually printed. It printed only half the page. (?)

Solution attempts:

1. Multiple restarts of printer. Normal restart. Leaving it unplugged for several minutes. Unplugging it while still on. Unplugging with and without cartridge.

2. Multiple restarts of the router. Deactivating one of the SSID-Networks, which was uncompatible with the printer.

3. Multiple restarts of phone and laptop.

4. Deletion and renewal of the hp apps on Windows and Android. Updating, running diagnoses. Installing of different apps such as HP smart or HP printer service. Attempt to print via print DIRECT. Turning off vpn, resetting network connection.

5. Printing via cable.

6. Sending in the printer to the seller (MediaMarkt, Germany) for inspection. No problems were found, yet, the printer was exchanged with another one of the same model. All aforementioned steps repeated with the new printer. Same problems.

Hello
May I ask what model of device you have?
We need one problem after another to solve.
Let's talk about the Windows system first.
Please open Control Panel - Devices and Printers - find the printer icon on your computer.
Right click on it - Printer Properties - Port.
Please find the default port and send me a picture to confirm the issue.

Thank you.

Thank you very much for your answer.

The model of the printer is HP LaserJet MFP M140w.

In the Devices and Printers section, I see multiple versions of my LaserJet Printer.

Ports are as follows:

The last one (NPI815C16 HP LaserJet MFP M140w) does not open Printer Properties.

Does this help? Thank you

Hello
Sorry, only one of the wireless and USB modes can be selected and cannot be used simultaneously.
Please confirm the final connection method between the printer and the computer to assist you.

Thank you.

Thank you for your answer.

I would prefer to use the wireless connection. I switched to the USB connection because the wireless connection did not work.

Any tips on how to get the wireless connection to work would be much appreciated.
