Happens with:

MS Edge

Windows Mail App

Windows image viewer

UCBrowser UWP

OneNote (Version from Microsoft Store)

 

Doesn't Happen:

MS Office 365

Paint 3D

OneNote 2016

Uninstall the software and try using the window built-in driver: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01796879

Ok, now the print is in monochrome as selected. :clap:

 

...but how can I scan to harddrive now? The scan function seems not to be include in the replacement driver.
