The Windows 10 Fall Creator update wiped out the driver for my HP 1200 laserjet. I've tried a few of the methods on the support page (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04745752#AbT4) but nothing works. I've got a .cab file but what am I supposed to do with it once it's downloaded? I found the stuff about expanding it via the command prompt (I'm old enough to remember DOS), but to what destination?? (I'm so pissed at Microsoft right now!!!)
I tried method 2 but windows can't find the printer (of course) and it's not connected via a TCP/IP port, it's on a USB port.
Can you just tell me where I can get a executable that will reinstall the printer driver? I use this printer allllll the time.
I never want to get another Windows 10 update again. This isn't the only piece of my laptop that's they've destroyed.
Anyway, if you can help me with the HP laserjet 1200 printer driver, I will be so grateful. Thank you.
