Laserjet M1132 MFP is recognized as an optical driver and not a printer hence install fails. I DO NOT have a HP install CD so I can not pursue that option. I've read other online solutions and they all seem to require an PP CD. Thanks, WIll

Hi,
Disable HP Smart Install using the HP Smart Install Utility below by pressing the Disable button:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL53553/Im-129228-1/LJM1130_M1210_SI_Utility.exe
Next unplug the USB and reconnect it, it should no longer be recognized as a CD driver.

hello,
I also have this problem. I used the utility you linked to and it did disable the HP smart Install USB Device, but i still cannot access my DVDRW.
the usb device and my DVDRW (which is listed as a CD-ROM) are somehow linked together.
does HP have a fix for this?
