Thank you for contacting the HP Support Community. We appreciate you connecting with us and are here to help.

If the wireless settings on your HP LaserJet Pro M405dw have been accidentally disabled, follow these steps to re-enable them:

  1. Access the Printer Menu:

    • On the printer's control panel, press the "Home" button to access the main menu.
  2. Navigate to Network Settings:

    • Use the arrow buttons to navigate to "Network Setup" or "Network Configuration", and press "OK".
  3. Enable Wireless:

    • Scroll to "Wireless Menu".
    • Choose "Wireless Setup Wizard" or "Wireless Options", and press "OK".
  4. Follow the Setup Wizard:

    • If using the Wireless Setup Wizard, follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your wireless network.
    • Select your network from the list and enter the network password if prompted.
  5. Manual Enable through Embedded Web Server (EWS):

    • Connect the printer temporarily with an Ethernet cable to your network (if possible).
    • Find the printer’s IP address by printing a Configuration Page through “Reports” on the printer menu.
    • Open a web browser on your computer and enter the IP address in the address bar.
    • Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS). Navigate to the "Networking" tab and enable the wireless option from there.
  6. Restore Network Defaults:

    • If you can't locate the wireless settings, you might choose to restore the network defaults.
    • Navigate to "Network Setup" > "Restore Network Settings" and confirm to reset network configurations.

Do keep us posted on whether these steps resolve the issue. We’ll be happy to assist you with the next steps.
