Hi Offerc,
Thank you for visiting HP Support Forum,
I am assuming that "Auto Crop" option is selected in HP scan software
This "Auto Crop" is available in hp scan windows, you need to uncheck the box for "Auto Crop" and then scan.
You may also choose the scan size or scan area as entrie glass in scan setting .
Mostly the option should be in
WHen you open HP Printer Assistant ->HP scan
- Click on the Scan tab.
- Select Custom.
- Click Custom Settings.
- Uncheck the Auto Crop setting.
- Click OK
