Hi @Kraska6,

I read the quick response. You've done great by displaying tremendous patience and a great attitude to try and resolve the issue. Kudos to you for a job well done. 🙂 It is not the printer software or drivers. It is the Ethernet card (wired connectivity of the printer) that could be faulty. It is a hardware issue with the printer.

Please try these steps and check if it resolves the issue. Otherwise, you will need to use the printer connected via a USB connection or try to get it replaced by calling HP phone support by following the instructions from my previous post.

Please try to restore factory defaults on the printer from this user guide link: http://hp.care/2tZaMON refer to page#75

Then follow the steps from this link: http://hp.care/2ftbEF6   to connect the printer.

If this does not work the printer's hardware (network card) is faulty and the printer needs to be replaced by calling HP phone support by following the steps from my previous link.

It has been an absolute privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂 Trust me, I've done all I can to assist you, by keeping your best interest in mind. I honestly hope the product works great and stays healthy for a long time. 🙂

Hi @Kraska6,

Good Day.  Thank you for posting your query in the HP community.  I read the post regarding the printer not connecting to a wired network. I will be delighted to assist you here.

Superb description and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:

  • Did this happen after a recent software or operating system update?
  • Was there a recent power surge or outage?

For now please try these steps from this link: http://hp.care/2fg3eke for HP Printers - Printer Not Found During Network Driver Setup (Mac)

Please perform these steps:

Step 1: Restart the computer, printer, and router

Step 2: Check the network and printer connection status

Step 3: Manually connect the printer to your network (wireless connections only)

Step 4: Reset the print system

Then follow these steps to add the printer back to the network.

1.) Click the Apple menu icon, and then click System Preferences.

2.) Click Printers and Scanners, Print and Scan, or Print and Fax.

3.) In the Printers list, click your HP printer, and then click the Minus button to delete it.

4.) Click the Add button.

5.) Find, and then select the name of your printer from the Printer list, and then click Add to add your printer. Do not select an HP Fax driver.

6.) Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select the name of your printer.

7.) Avoid the AirPrint driver. Once the correct HP driver is chosen, select Add to add the printer to the list.

8.) Try to print.

This should do the trick for you.

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. 🙂

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂

Cheers!

Hello David,

Thank you for the reply, but unfortunately, I still cannot receive any IP of the printer .It shows only 0000 and status not connected?

It can print only when the printer is connected to the computer by USB , but how can I activate Eprint service?

Thanks

Your models has two connections. One usb which you have used and the other is wired ethernet where you connect a rj45 cable from the printer to your router or switch. When you connect you should get a green light on the switch at the port where you connect the printer. Is this what you are getting?

HP Recommended

Yes, Im getting a grrent light, but still cannot receive IP adress of the printer. When I print configuration report the ID is shown always as 0000.
