HP LaserJet M110we Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For many months the printer worked fine. But now, I can't print and I get this message "Check your account. A problem has occurred with your HP account and you will be unable to print very soon." I have spent at least 15 hours trying to correct the issue without any success. I have tried approaches that were suggested to others who have had the same problem. No success.

On the HP App, the home screen window for the printer has a yellow "!" and the message "Check your account".
I cant find anything about my acct

I never subscribed to HP Instant Ink, nor do I want to. I have replaced the toner cartridge just one time since purchasing the printer, using a genuine HP cartridge.

Note. This is a M110we printer.

Adding info on 06/13/2026. The HP app now shows the message "A problem has occurred and you will be unable to print until the issue is resolved." Also, on the HP app home page, the status of the printer is report as "Printer cannot print."

I sure welcome help with this. It's very frustrating. ready to dump all my HP products , and by others

Hi @HM110WE

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Follow the steps to clear the "check your account" error on your printer.

Open the HP Smart app on your computer/ laptop, if the printer is not added, please click on add the printer on top. Select your printer and follow the on-screen instructions to get your printer configured on the app.

Once done, from HP Smart, select your printer, and then click or tap Advanced Settings

If the web browser displays a message indicating that the website is unsafe, select the option to continue. Accessing the website will not harm your device.

● If prompted, enter the default user name and password of the printer.

– User Name: admin

– Password: Open the cartridge access door, and see the label inside the printer

On the System tab, click Service.

In the Restore Defaults area, click the Restore Defaults button

The printer automatically restarts

This would remove any incorrect firmware updates from the printer and would put the printer in setup mode.

Once the printer is back on, disconnect the USB. Ethernet cable, uninstall and reinstall the HP smart app, open the app, and click on add printer on top. Select your printer and follow the on-screen instructions to get your printer configured on the app.

Please let me know, if you come across any concerns, I will assist you further and will have that sorted as well.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
