My printer now prints a black bank across docs that Im printing like word docs or PDFs or pages directly from the internet   I changed the cartridge   uts a roblem with the black ink   please see attached picture   any thoughts pleaseIMG_1874.JPG

Actually you defect is running the wrong way from what I thought. Your defect looks like a bad black toner cartridge. Remove the toner and turn it over and look at the drum. Do you see the black in the middle? If yes the wiper blade of the toner cartridge has gone bad and the toner will need to be replaced.

What happens if you print a page with color.  Do you get color bars across the page.  If you do then it could 1 of 2 issues. The first and most common is one of the 4 toner cartridges is defective. Unfortunately it is impossible to test which of the 4 is bad so the only solution if this is the problem is to replace all 4 toners with known good toners.  The second issue is one of the 2 motors on the right side of the printer. If you remove the right side cover you will see two motors that are the same. If you remove and swap them and then run the same test and if the pattern changes or you get a different problem, then odds are one of the motors is bad.
