A warm welcome to HP Community!
I believe it is possible create and save custom scan settings using the HP Printer Assistant software.
1.) Download and install the printer full feature software and driver from here, then search Windows for HP, and then select your printer. HP Printer Assistant opens.
2.) Click Scan, and then click Scan a Document or Photo. HP Scan opens.
3.) Select a shortcut, and then click Advanced Settings or More and select the desired settings.Click Create New Scan Shortcut, if you would like to save those settings for future scans.
