Product: laser printer

print from iphone/ipad always defaults to envelope and cannot change paper size

Hi @Michyoung03

Welcome to the HP Support Community. To assist you better, I would like to know:

  • What model printer are you using?
  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

For more info on how to print from your iOS device, kindly refer to this document.

Color Laserjet Pro MFP M277dw

 

Works fine from laptop but not from iphone/ipad.  Does not give option to change paper.  Looks like it will print OK and switches to envelope everytime.  Had printed envelopes months ago.  Reset the printer but still happens.

Trying to print anything seems to defaut to envelope.  Would like to be able to print from google classroom to help kids

Hi,

Please click Setup > System Setup > Paper and Tray Settings from the printer screen.

Please make sure the correct paper type is set for the printer for any tray, as well as the default size, if any size may set to Envelope on the printer, it may clarify this behavior.
