@Tony158,

Good Day.  Thank you for posting your query in the HP community.  I read the post regarding issues with not able to connect to web services or use eprint. I will be delighted to assist you here.

Superb description and spectacular troubleshooting and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that

For better clarity and to assist you accurately I would require more information regarding this:

How did you reset the printer?

Was it an NVRAM reset that you performed on the printer?

For now, try these steps:

Then from this link: https://hp.care/2BYfGzy (HP Printers - Cannot Connect to Web Services) perform all the prescribed steps:

  • Step 1: Make sure your printer supports Web Services
  • Step 2: Check the network and printer connection status
  • Step 3: Restart the computer, printer, and router
  • Step 4: Turn on Web Services from the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
  • Step 5: Check the Internet proxy server settings
  • Step 6: Update the printer firmware.

Then perform these steps to assign Manual DNS and Google DNS:

  • On the front panel of the printer, touch the wireless icon. Select the Wireless ON to get the wireless summary. Make a note of your IP address.
  •
  • 1. On your computer open an internet browser and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar. This will bring up the Embedded Web Server page (EWS).
  • 2. At the top of the page select Networking.
  • 3. From the left-hand side, select Network Identification.
  • 4. Under the section for DNS, under Primary (IPv4) enter 8.8.8.8, under Secondary (IPv4) enter 8.8.4.4.
  • 5. Select Apply at the bottom of the screen.
  • 6. Turn of web services and enable the web services again.
  •
  • If still unable to connect, try entering 209.244.0.3 for the Primary (IPv4), and 209.244.0.4 for the Secondary (IPv4)
  • This link: https://hp.care/2v9fJpt has screenshots on how to do it. Refer to page 1.
  • This link: http://hp.care/2j802WT shows you how to disable and enable Web services.

Now check for issue resolution.

  • If it still continues, then perform the relevant steps from this link: https://hp.care/2EIvbIC (HP Printers - Setting Up an HP Connected Account)
  • Step 3: Obtain the printer claim code
  • Step 4: Use the claim code to add your printer on HP Connected
  • Step 5: Set up web-connected printing services
  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Now check for issue resolution. This should fix the issue.

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Good luck and keep me posted. I will keep a watch for your reply.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂
