Hello Everyone,

This is my first HP printer and what I am trying to do is setup the ability to print from anywhere to my prnter regardless of me being connected to my home WiFi connection or not.

At present I am able to print fine and all works good, the drivers are installed on the networked laptop and the printer functions normally. I'm even able to print from my IPhone 6s by selecting the in-iOS print.

My problems however begin when I try to find out my printers email address... Im not a total novice computer user and I ran a home fileserver for years.

I've tried trying to enable eprint and apps fron the printer HMI - First i enable automatic updates then when it fails and says eprint cannot be enabled.

So I login remotely from the laptop 192.16x.xxx.xxx and i try to enable web services and it fails the same way. There is good communication on the network and I've tried restarting the network router, wifi, printer, reseting network connections to default, pulling power cords for 60 seconds etc and 'percussive maintenance' but all to no avail.

When I try to login to my HP connected account it asks me to add a printer but when I try to add a printer I need a 'claim code' but I cant get this from the printer because it wont enable eprint services *facepalm*

Does anyone know what I'm missing here?

Thank you in advance,

Best regards,

J

Hi,

Please ensure you indeed have the latest firmware, version EXM1CN1615AR.

Critical update for web services, without this fix, printer will not be able to do ePrint or SIPs printing.

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Officejet-7610-Wide-Format-e-All-in-One...

You may find your current firmware by printing a Printer Status Report:

  • Tap the Setup icon from the main printer screen.
  • Tap Print Reports.
  • Tap Printer Status Report.

If any lower firmware version is listed, be sure to install the latest firmware above and then try again.

ShlomiL,

May your coupons always come up, may your floor forever have no stray bits of lego nor marverick plugs strewn accross, may the audio in your procured films match the lip movement of the characters they are from and may none of your future farts ever be wet ones. Thank you!
