Lights blinking. Tried disconnecting power and turning back on. The problem is that the print cartridge will not move to the front where I can replace the ink cartridge.

@Shortyone63

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

It's a pleasure assisting you in finding answers to your technical queries.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Was any hardware changes made in the printer?

Try to move the cartridge the manually and check if it is moving?

If the carriage is not moving. I suggest you do a Hard Reset

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Then, use this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-officejet-6700-premium-e-all-in-one-printer-series-h711/4322... for carriage jam.

This did not help. I plugged the printer back in after a long wait. All lights blink. The printer panel shows a power on/off symbol and teh numbers 00759C98. Nothing helps.

@Micklest,

Thank you for posting this on HP support Forums!

I see from your post that you're getting an error message on your HP OfficeJet printer. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

In this scenario, I would suggest let's try to perform a Hard reset and then try to update the printer firmware  may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector

2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door

3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer

5) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.

6) Download and update the printer firmware from here (Please select the Operating system and version before downloading and installing the printer firmware)

NO. I cannot uninstall the cartridges. I open the door and the cartridges do not move into position. The panel is flashing all indicators and the error code is on the screen.

I've moved the printer to another place where I can plug directly into the wall.

I downloaded the software. But it's not connecting to the printer via wi-fi. If I move the printer back to the computer desk, I can't plug it directly into the wall, but that's what I'd have to do if I use an ethernet cable.

So no. This info is not working so far.

Also, I cannot find the proper cable to connect directly to the computer. I tried using an ethernet cable to the router. But the setup software cannot find the printer.

All indicators are flashing. Same error code.
